I make the total between 3 500 and 4 000 complete census records, which is quite remarkable! Lots of researchers should be able to gain help from such a record. It is also true that David would be really grateful to receive any census returns from you, as some areas and years are much less well covered than others.
Parish Records
David has 5 888 entries extracted from parish registers, IGI and the internet. The earliest record is a christening of a James Gilkes in 1555.Odds and Ends
This database contains references to entries in newspapers, street directories, wills, deeds and the internet. It currently comprises 775 entries. He also has some data on events in Canada and Australia.
Contacts
David says, "During my researching I have made contact with a large number of like-minded researchers and have been able to introduce "long lost" cousins to each other. In gfact, I have done that twice in the last few weeks."I hope I have set out clearly enough the breadth and depth of the records held by David Smith. He would love to hear from you and will really try to help. He would also like help from you if you are willing to share your findings.
